It’s one way to start comparing yourself and then you end up focusing on things that don’t matter as much ,to the grand scheme of things. It’s a vanity metric ,and become a gift and a curse! I talk a lot about consistency well because it’s a really important factor when it comes to measuring your success and growth here on insta! When I am consistent it’s because I usually the the time out to batch content to post ! Whenever I post at least 25 times a month is when I see the biggest follower growth! Reels have been the game changer for me in that way ! It sounds overwhelming and can be , which is why I try not to overthink them and just use simple clips that are high and quality but very valuable!     I remember when I shared really high quality conte I remember when I shared really high quality content but it felt like something was still missing. People weren’t sharing my content my views and reach were extremely low and people didn’t engage much ! It’s frustrating when that happens to say the least ! While there are all sorts of factors that play a role in why reach engagement grow may be low one thing I’m sure of is just because your content is great doesn’t mean people will care ! I’ve talked about authenticity before and I’ll say it here again if your content isn’t authentic it’s hard to build a brand a community or anything else. People can tell when something t doesn’t feel real! If your content is overly staged and saturated with staged content it can feel gimmicky! People are moved by the content that reminds them of something…it has to be relatable and real! Keep that in mind when you’re creating this week! Pinterest- Pinterest is absolutely the GOAT for all sorts of content inspo, thought starters, aesthetics, key words and more ! It is also a space that doesn’t feel stressful and is actually a relief and feels like a treat when using it ! Tezza - is my go to for my photography + reel presets! I love using their presets for everything I post to my feed! I try to stick to the most natural templates bs the more saturated one to keep everything cohesive and clean! I use the paid version and I also like to use their templates for story content! Later is a great tool for planning out everything and seeing all of your content in calendar form! I also love later to check my engagements rates per the content I post! I’m using free but will upgrade soon as I found out they have a brand collabs tan now!     Before I start my day or batch content edit photos Before I start my day or batch content edit photos respond to campaign collabs or pitch to Brands I incorporate a routine that is soft and makes my life as a creator run smoothly! Sometimes the tiny adjustments make some of the most impact for me as a creative. There are more times than not where I choose to do these 5 things to help keep me motivated and prevent at least part of the burnout that can come with creating! 1. gratitude journaling - journaling has always been a way for me to brain dump but when I am specifically gratitude journaling it really puts things into perspective for me and makes me appreciate what I have ! So many of us struggle with imposter syndrome + comparison gratitude journaling helps me stray away from those things 2. Listening to an uplifting playlist/ podcast - I sometimes listen to instrumentals while I journal it’s a stress reliever for me ! There are a few podcasts I like to listen to that help kickstart my day I also listen while I organize! 3. Meditation - meditating is a really good way to stop intrusive thinking and helps me overcome mental blocks that I get which is important when coming up with creative ideas for creating valuable content 4. Morning walk or run - physical activity as we know is a great self care tool that is mood boosting I really enjoy getting my heart rate up before I do any kind of social media work 5. Organizing a small space - for me organization is another way for me to shift my focus from all the things that I overthink about and really helps me feel productive!
